Scope of Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy in Patients with Previous Upper Abdominal Surgery

Background: Laparoscopic cholecystectomy has become the treatment of choice for symptomatic gallstones. Previous upper abdominal surgery been reported as a relative contraindication to laparoscopic cholecystectomy.This study specifically examined effect previous on feasibility and safety cholecystectomy.
 Methods: A number 50 patients adult age group (25 60 years) who were admitted suffering from gall bladder pathology having history in units tertiary level hospitalwithin time period September, 2013 August, 2014 included this prospective observational study. With consent patients, was chosen surgical procedure. All these data analyzed find out with surgery.
 Results: The classified into 3 groups: 1, no adhesions, 2, minimum adhesions 3, moderate dense adhesions. groups similar respect sex (P>0.05). Conversion laparotomy required 5 (10%) (1 2 3). No statically significant difference noted among conversion rate per-operative complications occurred any groups. post-operative complication rates not statistically different (P>0.05).
 Conclusion: is safe cholecystectomy. However, associated an increased need adhesiolysis, chance open prolonged operation time.
